PROPOSED DATES FOR 2008 MEADVILLE AREA LITTLE GRIDDERS FOOTBALL
Friday, August 9, 2008- Deadline for Applications to be returned, along with a $30 fee and Physical completed by physician (signed by physician on the bottom of the Application form). Return to “Meadville Little Gridders”, P.O. Box 8, Meadville, PA 16335
Saturday, August 16, 2008- Equipment Handout @ Bender Field (Barco-Duratz Complex, North Street, Meadville, PA). 9 AM for 2nd year (returning) player and 10 AM for 1st year players.
August 18, 19, and 20, 2008- (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)- Practice/Tryouts held for all first year players (only) at the Crawford Central Instructional Support Building fields, Mercer Pike (old Kerrtown School). Practices start @ 5:30 PM on the fields behind the school.
Wednesday, August 20. 2008- Coaches Draft of new players @ 8:30 PM at Alden Physical Therapy, 638 Alden Street.
Saturday, August 23, 2008- Draft Results to be posted in The Meadville Tribune.
Monday, August 25, 2008- Team Practices begin (as set by individual coaches).
Saturday, September 6, 2008- 1st games of the season. All games to be played on Saturday 9AM-12 Noon at Bender Filed. (scheduled to be determined)
Saturday, October 4, 2008- Last games of regular season.
Saturday, October 11, 2008- Sixth Grade All Star Game (all sixth graders divided among two teams for final game, time to be determined).
Saturday, October 18, 2008- Equipment return, and photograph distribution to players. 9 AM for 2nd year players, 10 AM for 1st year players.
